Top Dance Games Performance in Africa: Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the dance games category on the unified platform in Africa showcased interesting trends. According to data from Sensor Tower, these top five dance apps experienced varied performance metrics in terms of weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Just Dance Now from Ubisoft saw a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, peaking at approximately 1.8K in late July. Revenue was relatively stable, with a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching around $213. The app maintained a consistent level of active users, with numbers hovering around 2.4K in July, tapering to about 1.6K by the end of September.

Hip Hop Battle - Girls vs Boys exhibited a modest increase in revenue, climbing to $47 by the end of September. Downloads were generally steady, with a noticeable drop to 118 in the last week. Active users followed a similar pattern, maintaining an average of around 170 throughout the quarter.

Ice Skating Ballerina experienced a revenue surge, particularly in the last week of September, where it reached $67. Weekly downloads fluctuated mildly, peaking at 373 in early July before settling down. The number of active users showed a gradual decline from 1.7K to just under 1K.

For Acrobat Star Show, revenue saw a steep decline after an initial high in early July. Downloads and active users also showed a downward trend, with active users dropping from 2.8K to 2K by the end of the quarter.

Lastly, Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop had a stable download rate, peaking at 395 in early August before declining. Revenue fluctuated slightly, while active users decreased from 1.5K to around 750 by September's end.
